To give an introduction and overview of the theory and application of various techniques for the education of coherent structu

To give an introduction and overview of the theory and application of various techniques for the education of coherent structures in turbulence or more general the emergence of patterns in chaotic processes. The organization of the course will be review lectures by invited speakers during the morning and afternoon. In between there will be time for interaction between all participants (lecturers and students). For this the Lorentz Center has offices with computer access available for participants. This will allow also for self-study based on the lecture material and with software made available during the course. Posters and short presentations of the participants will be accessible as well.
