Tom Millar: Negative Ions in Space

Two years ago, radio astronomers detected microwave emission from 
anions in the interstellar medium. These detections were something of a 
surprise. In this talk, I shall discuss their formation, highlight areas in 
which we need theoretical and experimental support, and explain their 
significance in the star formation process.
