Description and Aim
The aim of this meeting is to take
advantage of recent observational advances, particularly with ALMA and various
multi-object spectrographs, to construct a physically-relevant picture of how normal
galaxies build up from early cosmic times. Particularly key to the enterprise
will be leveraging insights gained from the improved physical characterization
of galaxies (e.g., dust extinction, star formation rates, molecular gas masses,
and stellar/dynamical masses) attained by piecing together exciting but
incomplete information available from many new facilities.
