Innate Immunity of Crops, Livestock and Fish: “The Dawn of Agricultural Immunology"
    from 19 Sep 2016 through 23 Sep 2016

Animals and plants face constant risk of infection with biologically diverse pathogens that can cause serious diseases. The proposed workshop is intended to provide a focused, peer-oriented opportunity for researchers studying innate immune systems in livestock, fish, shellfish, and plants to discuss together about innate immune systems of those organisms and achieve to a face-to-face relationship with all scientists. Such interaction will help clarify the similarities and differences between the innate immune systems among these diverse organisms and provide novel insights into the basis of innate immunity to pathogens. The final goal of this workshop is to create a new trend in Agricultural Immunology and to plant the seeds to develop drug-independent safe food production systems.
