Winner Cecam-Lorentz 2020

19 Mar 2020

Recently CECAM and the Lorentz Center invited researchers to apply for organizing a leading-edge workshop in computational simulation and modeling.

We are happy to announce the winning proposal of the CECAM-Lorentz call 2020:

Useful Quantum Computation for Quantum Chemistry
organised by Thomas O’Brien, Barbara Terhal, Markus Reiher and Lucas Visscher

Bringing experts together
The proposal was very well received by the evaluation panel:

'Combining classical/quantum computational techniques is a very interesting topic and the idea of bringing experts from quantum algorithms together with the experts from the field of quantum chemistry is smart and also necessary and if successful can attract many adepts, once it is established and shown to be applicable at a reasonable cost.'

'This topic is highly novel and very timely and the workshop is very well structured around this main challenge.'

We are pleased to add such a challenging and interesting workshop to our program, it will take place in February 2021.
