ASTROWISE: Pipeline Workshop

This workshop is aimed at the developers of pipeline software for the new Wide Field Cameras that are currently under development or deployment. A series of topics ranging from scripting languages to Database Management issues will be dealt with.

The form of the workshop will be such that individual topics are described in depth during oral contributions. At the end of these teaching sessions, practical hands-on experience can be obtained in a working class environment in which exemplary exercises are made.

The topics that will be dealt with are:

·         Object oriented approach for pipeline software

·         Algorithms

·         Data distribution

·         Parallel processing

·         Database Management

·         Oracle 9i
