Emerging Issues in Heavy Fermion Materials Physics

19 - 23 July 2004

Venue: Oort

If you are invited or already registered for this workshop, you have received login details by email.

The workshop addresses the emerging issues in heavy Fermion physics, with an emphasis on materials aspects, which recent experiments as well as theories have brought into focus. These issues include (but are not limited to) unconventional superconductivity/exotic pairing mechanisms, coexistence of magnetism and superconductivity, and unconventional normal states/quantum criticality. The theoretical issues raised by the experimental results will be extensively discussed.

Following the tradition of the Lorentz Center, the workshop will provide ample time for informal discussions. Each participant will have a desk and access to a computer. We plan to have a limited number of 25 minute talks each day that will serve to present the current status of our understanding and to stimulate the discussions during the week. The program will be developed after collecting the participants' suggestions.
