Understanding of astrophysical observations relies on both the accuracy of the telescope and of the models which are used to interpret the data. This workshop will bring together representatives from the principal atomic database projects relevant to X-ray astronomy, along with several laboratory experimentalists and observers, to compare the results of their models for a range of astrophysical plasmas. The goal is to identify where these models produce different results, why they do, and to try to at least qualitatively if not quantitatively define what these differences are.
It is intended to be a working week, as opposed to a week of lectures, so substantial time has been set aside for discussions amongst the participants.
