This workshop brings together leading experts and young researchers at the intersection of mathematical finance, machine learning, and sustainable economics, in order to explore how advances in stochastic modeling, numerical methods, and data-driven approaches can support the global transition towards sustainable finance.
The event will feature mini-courses by internationally renowned speakers, covering topics such as algorithmic trading, sustainable and green finance, stochastic control and machine learning, and FinTech. Each mini-course will be complemented by shorter research talks and an industry lecture, highlighting the interaction between theory and practice.
A dedicated poster session will provide early-career researchers and PhD students with the opportunity to present their work, fostering exchange within the Dutch and European research communities. Beyond advancing research, the workshop seeks to identify open problems at the interface of mathematics, climate science, and finance, foster interdisciplinary collaboration between academia and industry, and lay the groundwork for future joint research initiatives. A strong emphasis is placed on diversity and inclusion, with active participation from early-career and female researchers.
