Port-Hamiltonian Systems: Approximations, Theory and Practice

24 - 28 March 2014

Venue: Snellius

If you are invited or already registered for this workshop, you have received login details by email.

The aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers working on different aspects of port-Hamiltonian systems, such as operator theory, infinite-dimensional systems theory, modelling, and approximation. The proposed workshop will be considered a success if

- it has led to new research within combinations of the different aspects, e.g., the combination of abstract operator with system theory is applied to solve coupling problems of port-Hamiltonian systems;

- different approximation schemes associated with infinite-dimensional port-Hamiltonian systems can be revealed;

- open problems on infinite-dimensional port-Hamiltonian systems are discussed.

In order to reach these goals keynote speakers will deliver a tutorial lecture on their field. All participants will be ask to contribute to an “open problem” session on Tuesday. Besides more advanced seminars there will amble time for discussions.
