This workshop aims to establish whether the feedback effect of moderate-luminosity radio sources – the dominant AGN population being discovered in surveys with the new generation of facilities such as LOFAR – plays an important role in the evolution of galaxies. To achieve this goal, we will bring together researchers from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of viewpoints: theorists and observers; those working on the problem using observations at different wavelength; and those with different views on the main physical mechanisms involved. In this way, we will break down barriers between communities to tackle long-standing questions that lie at the heart of our current understanding of how active galactic nuclei (AGN) affect the evolution of their host galaxies.
