Winners Huibregtsen prize 2021

Sandjai Bhulai and Rob van der Mei are the winners of the Huibregtsen Prize 2021 for their research project 'Mathematics for a safer and healthier Netherlands'.


The award ceremony took place on the twenty-second Evening of Science & Society, October 4 in the Nieuwe Kerk, The Hague.

 

Bhulai and Van der Mei receive a check worth € 25,000 and a bronze sculpture by artist Wil van der Laan from the hands of outgoing minister Ingrid van Engelshoven of Education, Culture and Science. Moreover, Bhulai and Van der Mei are offered a workshop by the Lorentz Center.

 

We congratulate the winners and we are looking forward to organize a workshop with them.
