Winners Huibregtsen prize 2023

Andrew Webb and Johnes Obungoloch are the winners of the Huibregtsen Prize 2023 for their 'Low-cost, portable and durable MRI system for brain scans in developing countries'.

The award ceremony took place on the Evening of Science & Society, October 9 in the Pieterskerk,  Leiden.

 

Webb and Obungoloch received a check worth € 25,000 and a bronze sculpture by artist Wil van der Laan from the hands of outgoing minister Robbert Dijkgraaf of Education, Culture and Science. Moreover, Webb and Obungoloch are offered a workshop by the Lorentz Center.

 

We congratulate the winners and we are looking forward to organize a workshop with them.
